    Short Description:

     

    3M Scotch 130C Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape is a highly conformable, linerless Ethylene Propylene Rubber (EPR), high-voltage insulating tape that provides excellent thermal dissipation of splice heat. It is a self-fusing tape that only fuses to itself (no sticky residue on the surface) and also has excellent mechanical and electrical properties, creating a moisture seal and providing void-free build-up. It can also withstand temperatures up to 194°F (90°C) and emergency overload up to 266°F (130°C). Due to its excellent thermal, mechanical and electrical properties, it is ideal for cable and wire splicing, termination and jacket repair applications.

    Application:

    3M Scotch Linerless Rubber Splicing Tape 130C is a highly conformable, unlined, 30 mil thick, premium rubber splicing tape. Its excellent physical and electrical properties promote moisture sealing and no void accumulation and can be used for soldering and terminating wires and cables. Rated up to 90°C (194°F) continuous operating temperature and short-term 130°C (266°F) overload service to provide good joint heat dissipation. Unlined, self-adhesive, primary insulating tape rated to 69 kV. These properties make it ideal for solid dielectric insulated cables rated through 69 kV for use in both low voltage and high voltage (through 69 kV) applications, as well as bus bar insulation, cable end sealing, cable and jacket repair applications.
