  • DDP Diamond Dotted Paper For Oil-Immersed Transformer

    Short Description:

     

    GBS Diamond Dotted Insulation Paper is one of the insulating materials, which is made of electrical kraft paper coated on one or both sides with modified B-stage heat curable epoxy resin in diamond-shaped form and then dried. It features higher electrical strength and mechanical property. And In the process of coil drying, the agglutinating and solidifying of DDP can bond the coil into a fixed unit.

    The diamond patterns of epoxy resin are of size 9.5mm x 9.5mm with 15.9mm center spacing.

    The advantage of partially coated insulation press paper lies in the internal strengthening of the coil from adhesion to the conductor, which provides passage for quick evacuation of air and moisture during the drying process. It also minimizes the risk of partial discharge, quick impregnation, and flow of oil through the channels. The bonding strength of the epoxy resin is sufficient to prevent displacement of winding layers due to short circuit forces.

    Application:

    1. Used in oil-immersed transformers for the insulation between coils and between layers of oil immersed power distribution transformers.

    2. It can also be used as a cable shielding isolation layer and an anti-corona material for high-voltage motors and electrical appliances.
